Every small business needs to find a "niche" so that it can survive. In my case, I've added two passions together and begun specializing in used books relating to the fiber arts. Included are volumes on knitting, crocheting, weaving, spinning, sewing, embridery, quilting, etc, etc, plus topics like homesteading & goat-rearing.
The Fiber Side of Village Books will be a vendor at The Acadia Fiber Faire in Southwest Harbor, Maine Saturday, May 22 all day. Come & check me out! I'll have some beautiful handspun yarns from the Washington Handcrafters, quilts & pillows by Maryland artisan Kathlene Blake and hand-forged hooks by blacksmith, Jeff Jelenfy too.
See you there!
Lots of luck at the fair, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time, meet some great people and make many sales. I can't believe how anxious I was before my stall last week, hard to believe I actually went out to work and mixed with important people for all those years, what are we like. I'd come and visit myself if only I wasn't so very far away but you won't need me you'll have loads of customers.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenny! Words of encouragement are very welcome right now!
